{"id":1931,"date":"2026-02-10T10:37:51","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T10:37:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pmabookkeeping.co.uk\/?p=1931"},"modified":"2026-02-10T10:37:51","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T10:37:51","slug":"hmrc-introduces-gov-uk-one-login-for-new-customers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.pmabookkeeping.co.uk\/index.php\/hmrc-introduces-gov-uk-one-login-for-new-customers\/","title":{"rendered":"HMRC introduces\u202fGOV.UK\u202fOne\u202fLogin for new customers\u202f"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>New customers registering for HM\u202fRevenue and\u202fCustoms (HMRC)\u202fdigital\u202fservices can now sign-up using GOV.UK One Login.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From today\u202f(9 February 2026),&nbsp;individual customers without an existing Government Gateway account will create a GOV.UK One Login&nbsp;using just an email address and password, instead of a&nbsp;10-12 digit&nbsp;ID,&nbsp;to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/accessing-hmrc-online-services-using-govuk-one-login\">access&nbsp;<abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr>&nbsp;services<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When fully rolled out across government,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/accessing-hmrc-online-services-using-govuk-one-login\">GOV.UK One Login<\/a>&nbsp;will be the single way to access all government services online. People will use&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/home.account.gov.uk\/services-using-one-login\">one secure login<\/a>&nbsp;for everything from tax to passports to voter registration.
